August 23 2005		 90 100 100 P A cute male was born on 18:10 , a first female on 19:30 and a second female on 20:30. We are so proud of Iskra :-) who is such a lovely cat and so trusting us...

August 24 2005		 100 100 110 P Iskra is quite nervous, stressed by any noise or movement. Weigthing the kitten has proven difficult, Iskra panicked when we took the babies off her. Moreover, the babies do shout to their heart's content! Back to top

August 25 2005		 120 120 120 P Dad Neve has come seen the babies (pictures n° 2,3,4,5 horizontally) and started playing with them gently with the end of his leg...and from time to time in a less gentle way with the end of his teeth, so we keep an eye on Neve when he enters the babies' home! Alongside today a small surprise on the welcome page: Amtaro!

August 26 2005		 130 130 130 - ex aequo everyone ;-) Neve is accepted without any issue to juggle with the babies in Iskra's home...Zephyr stays at the entrance but outside, so he usually fills his time with a small journey to the kitten dry food. Back to top

August 27 2005		 150 140 150 P The babies cry and blow as soon as we get closer, it's normal as we are actually strangers when compared to the mother! Neve still comes for his regular inspection tour, Pleiade comes to eat Iskra's wet food, despite she can't stand her girl nor the babies' smell. A female fell asleep on me, while the other did the same on Thierry's hands. And a picture of Pleiade waiting for her time to come... :-)

Thierry is away for one week so the update to the English diary will most probably happen when he returns only. Sorry for the impatients ! You can always watch the pictures on the French version (click on the flag top left).

August 29 2005		 180 170 170 P Neve is still very attentive to what happens in the babies'home.
Today Pleiade and Iskra have been vermifugated. Pleiade already looks for a place for her nest, wherever she roams everything is digged, modeled after her mind...Well, everything is normal and is going well. The babies are pretty mobiles. The male already doubled his birth weight.

August 30 2005		 190 170 170 P Routine here : Zephyr tries to steal Iskra "special kitten" dry food, Paline doesn't dare yet, Neve plays with the babies rolling them gently all over, Pleiade cannot stand anyone but me, Iskra is overprotective...and the babies cry, are hungry, crawl and dream. Sept 1 2005		 210 190 190 P The babies eyes start to open, the male is the most advanced one.They clean their paws awkwardly with their small tongues, and blow very hard (see the picture with the baby mouth wide open!) when an unknown smell tickles their nose. They try to stand high on their still so fragile legs, and are more and more mobile. They stretch when I pet them...they are so cute, but I do have to concentrate on the adults, too, and share my time between everyone.

Sept 4 2005		 240 220 210 P We were the week-end in Neuenburg's cat show with our lovely Neve. He is splendid, all judges like him...but he missed some fur to be exceptional! His temper , on the other hand, is exceptional...we love Neve, don't we? Back to top

Sept 6 2005		 260 240 240 - Our emotion is intense, facing the so unexpected death of our young veterinary doctor...the office is rightfully closed. Just one week ago, Anne was on the phone with her...We shared with her several births, and several visits with the kitten. She was closely following the resilient health problems of our two housecats. We feel broken, we didn't expect to be so affected. And we owe a special tought for her colleagues, her family and her son, Audric, 4 years old.
We will never forget this beautiful young lady, so sympathetic and careful...		 Back to top
